Wheel changing device, DFA redesign

An owner-assisted wheel changing device, redesigned with Boothroyd–Dewhurst analysis to cut assembly time and cost by 68%.
A device that helps a car owner lift, position and align a wheel during installation. It went from concept sketches through iterative CAD modelling to a simplified, portable design.
What I did
- Developed the concept through iterative sketching and CAD modelling.
- Quantified the redesign with the Boothroyd–Dewhurst method, simplifying the part and fastener structure.
