Handheld air quality monitor
Engineering capstone, RMIT
A battery-powered monitor for CO, NO₂, PM2.5 and PM10 with an LCD readout, LED warnings and a ThingSpeak cloud dashboard.
Engineer with three RMIT degrees and a habit of building the thing: robots, embedded boards, manufacturing systems and full-stack apps. Based in Melbourne and open to roles anywhere in Australia.

Embedded System Development Engineer, Aptinex (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka
Five hardware and firmware modules taken to production-ready design, plus LED disk firmware and batch testing of hundreds of modules.

Engineering Design 3A, RMIT
An autonomous warehouse-style robot that follows a line, stops for obstacles and uses OpenCV to deliver cargo to the right station.

Control Systems project, RMIT
A two-wheeled inverted pendulum, modelled and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink, then built and tuned until it balanced on the bench.

Master's research thesis, RMIT
A workflow for turning overlapping photos into data-infused digital twins, and a map of exactly where the technique breaks.
Industry capstone, Master of IT, RMIT
Added a DAX token payment system to an existing AWS-hosted digital asset authentication platform, alongside its Stripe payments.

Automated System Design project, RMIT
Software and control for a three-station PLC cell that queues, picks and sorts cylindrical parts by material and surface.

Industry 4.0 Technologies, Master of Engineering, RMIT
Virtual PLC logic in Structured Text, wired to a Node-RED dashboard over Modbus and MQTT, from sensor to screen.

Advanced Manufacturing and Design, RMIT
A benchmark part that found the limits of the university's FDM printers, and a hydraulic manifold redesigned to print with minimal support.

Design for Assembly and Automation, RMIT
An owner-assisted wheel changing device, redesigned with Boothroyd–Dewhurst analysis to cut assembly time and cost by 68%.
Design for Manufacture and Assembly project
A product teardown and Boothroyd–Dewhurst redesign that took an optical mouse from 18 parts to 7 and from 287 to 29 seconds to assemble.

Mechanical Design, RMIT
A single-speed 8:1 gearbox in SolidWorks, validated with motion analysis and shaft FEA that pinned the keyway as the critical stress point.
Full-Stack Development, Master of IT, RMIT
A recruitment platform built end to end: data model, authentication, application workflows and lecturer-side selection with reporting.
Algorithms and Analysis, Master of IT, RMIT
Kruskal-generated mazes solved with Dijkstra, brute-force DFS and a greedy heuristic, benchmarked to find where speed stops beating optimality.

Embedded Systems project, RMIT
A bare-metal C intersection controller on AVR: a finite state machine with timers, interrupts, right-turn sensing and countdown displays.
Jan 2023 – present
Woolworths Group, Melbourne
Continuous part-time work across grocery, nightfill and fresh food while completing two full-time master's degrees.

Member of Engineers Australia since 2021, skills assessed as a Mechatronics Engineer.
I chose robotics and mechatronics because I wanted to build machines, not just draw them. The parts I enjoy most are the messy ones: a robot that will not balance until the gains are retuned on the bench, a custom PCB that works on screen but not in the box, or a print that sags until the design changes. Fixing those problems is how I learn fastest.
At Aptinex I spent my days soldering, flashing and testing boards that went out to real customers. Since then I have added a master's in manufacturing and another in IT, so I can follow a product from the circuit to the production line to the software that runs on top of it.
Next on my bench: a small solar-powered LoRa sensor node for monitoring soil moisture and temperature in the field, combining the LoRa gateway work from Aptinex with the sensing, enclosure design and 3D printing from my air quality monitor.
A robotic arm and a grid-solving robot from 2017, a can crusher cut and welded by hand, and Battleship on a 16×2 LCD.

I am looking for graduate and junior roles in electronics, mechatronics, manufacturing and software engineering, anywhere in Australia. Full Australian working rights, no sponsorship required.
